The Equation for a Progressive Performance

A Progressive Performance is one that is moving forward.

Specific Skills + Physical Skills + Mental Skills = Progressive Performance

A standard performance equation is:

Specific Skills + Physical Skills = Performance

Physical Skills: Regardless of performance type, individuals spend hours completing exercises to increase strength, speed, agility and flexibility to maintain their well-being.

Specific Skills: Regardless of performance type, individuals spend hours working to develop specific skills needed to succeed in athletics, arts, academics and business.

Individuals utilize this two-part training program due to its simplicity and familiarity. However, the use of this common method often leaves individuals short of their goals and wondering what they can do to further their performance. Although feedback suggests they lacked motivation, concentration, confidence, they commit themselves to spending more time preparing for the next performance, only to fall short again. They have hit their performance capacity. They have maxed out their specific and physical skills. In order to take performance to a new level and break through this capacity, a holistic approach is needed. The addition of a holistic approach integrates mental skills, allowing individuals to create and uncover new and endless possibilities.
